What We Do

Upside Son highlights clear, verified reporting while keeping space for community input. We separate curated stories from open submissions so you can see the status of each item at a glance.

Two Feeds

Clear Feed: curated, approved stories with signals, AI summaries, and source links.
Open Feed: community submissions with voting, comments, and replies.

How Stories Reach the Clear Feed

  1. Sources are ingested and normalized for clarity.
  2. Signals and summaries are generated to aid review.
  3. Editors approve items before they enter the Clear Feed.
  4. Community feedback remains visible alongside the story.

Signals

Signals add lightweight context to a story. We currently surface four:

  • New policy implemented
  • Funding secured
  • Breakthrough research
  • Community impact

How AI Is Used

AI assists with summaries and signals so reviewers can move faster. It does not replace journalism or editorial judgment, and raw AI outputs are never shown publicly.

Transparency Commitment

Every Clear Feed story includes its source, timestamp, and scoring signals. We publish aggregate metrics in the Transparency Dashboard so you can see how the system behaves.

Community & Discourse

Open Feed comments are designed for calm, constructive discussion. We keep threads shallow and focused so you can scan quickly and still hear from real people.
